Repeat Prescriptions

We ask that you please use online options wherever possible. This not only reduces workload on general practice but also reduces the chance of errors or your request getting missed as the information goes straight in to you medical record

You can order your repeat prescriptions online by setting up an account at the following sites/apps

You can also use our online access portal which does not require registration where you can also request any medications you have had previously that are not on repeat. These requests will not be issued automatically but will be passed to a clinician to authorise.

If you are unable to one of the above online methods to order your prescription

  • Please call the prescription line on 01302 986112 (Mon-Fri 11am-1pm and 4pm-5pm) (Please note ALL calls to and from the surgery are recorded for training and monitoring purposes.)
  • Email syicb-doncaster.prescriptions-asa-medical@nhs.net
  • Please only request your prescription using the paper request slip if you are unable to order in any of the other ways above.

Help us to help you, please:

  1. Please ensure you order medications in plenty of time before they run out
  2. Understand that receptionists are not allowed to change or adapt prescriptions and can only pass your request on to a prescribing clinician.

Urgent Prescription Requests

  • Urgent prescription requests will be reviewed by the duty doctor.
  • The doctor will consider whether the request is clinically urgent for today.
  • If the doctor decides the request is not clinically urgent then it will be processed as normal within 2 working days.
  • Please telephone after 4pm on the day of the request to see when the prescription will be available.

Please note that the receptionist is following the doctor's instructions and expect patients to respect the doctor's clinical judgment. Thank you.

Medication Reviews

Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner, practice nurse or healthcare assistant at least once a year to review these regular medications and a notification should appear on your repeat slip.

Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.

Please allow two full working days for prescriptions to be processed and remember to take weekends and bank holidays into account.
